Two new COVID-19 cases reported in Thailand

Thailand recorded two new COVID-19 cases today, including one Qatari man in hospital for cancer treatment and a Thai student in state quarantine.

According to the CCSA, the 71-year old Qatari man flew into Bangkok on August 22nd, and entered hospital quarantine for treatment of liver cancer.  He also tested positive for COVID-19.

The second case is a 35-year old Thai student, who arrived from India on August 8th and entered state quarantine in Bangkok. He was found to be infected with the virus on August 22nd.

Cumulative infections in Thailand, to date, are 3,397, with 3,222 recoveries and 58 deaths.  117 others are still being treated in hospital.
