Tolls on Chalong Rat and Burapha Withi expressways to rise on March 1

Tolls on the Chalong Rat and Burapha Withi expressways will increase by 10% or 5-10 baht, depending on the type of vehicle, on March 1, according to the Expressway Authority of Thailand.

The increases are in line with the terms of the Thailand Future Fund (TFFIF) contract, under which the fees are adjustable every five years, based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

The tolls for four-wheeled vehicles will increase from 40 baht to 45 baht, from 60 to 65 baht for six to ten wheels and 80 to 90 baht for vehicles with more than ten wheels.

Four-wheeled vehicles entering the expressways through Ram Inthra 1 and Sukhaphiban 5-2 toll plazas will be charged 20 baht but. For vehicles with 6-10 wheels, the toll will increase from 30 baht to 35 baht and from 40 to 45 baht for vehicles with more than 10 wheels.

For four-wheeled vehicles on the Burapha Withi expressway, the toll will remain unchanged for the first 20km and increase thereafter by 5-10 baht, according to the distance travelled. For vehicles with 6-10 wheels, tolls will be increased by 5 baht for the first 20km and by 10 baht for distances over 20km. For vehicles with more than 10 wheels, tolls will increase by 5 baht for the first 20km and by 10-25 baht for distances over 20km.
