Three wooden houses in Bangkok’s Thung Khru district razed this morning

Three houses in a crowded community in Bangkok’s Thung Khru district burned down early this morning.

Firemen said that the narrow lane made it difficult for them to reach the scene of the fire in Pracha-uthit Soi 56 quickly. They said, however, that it took only about 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

One local resident said that the owner of the house where fire is thought to have started was not at home at the time, because he had travelled to another province.

He added that, since all the three houses were wooden, the fire spread rapidly.

Police are investigating the cause of the fire and no casualties have been reported.
