Thai football fans will be able to watch all matches in the UEFA Euro 2024 championship live, from June 14 until July 14, thanks to a group of private companies which have managed to secure the broadcast rights for an undisclosed fee.

Speaking at a press conference at Government House today, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin thanked all the companies who were involved in making it possible for Thai football fans to enjoy the excitement of the world-class soccer matches.

He said that the deal was entirely arranged by the private sector and the government has not paid a single baht, as he urged football fans to refrain from gambling during the tournament.

The prime minister, a long-time Liverpool fan, said he will be supporting the English team.

Komon Juangroongruangkit, CEO of Summit Footwear Company (Aerosoft), the holder of the broadcast rights for Thailand, declined to disclose the amount paid, only saying that it is higher than the previous deal.

PPTV will be the main broadcasting channel, he said, adding that they are in the process of coordinating with two more channels to show matches.

The other sponsors are PTT Public Company and Airports of Thailand Public Company. Football is among the most popular sports in Thailand.
