Thailand’s youngest COVID-19 patient, a one month old baby, has fully recovered and has gone home to Rayong province this morning (Thursday), after almost 20 days of treatment at Bamrasnaradura Institute of Infectious Diseases in Nonthaburi province.

The baby, named Kin Kin by the nurses, was shown to be clear of the virus in three tests, according to Deputy Public Health Minister Satit Pitutacha in his Facebook post.

He described the baby as healthy, cute, good-natured and only cried for milk at night. He said the child had increased its weight while in hospital, from 5kgs to 5.8kgs.

Kin Kin was the sixth coronavirus patient from Rayong province.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Health has designated Malaysia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia and the Lao PDR as Dangerous Infectious Disease Territories, effective from today.

In March, China, South Korea, Italy and Iran were similarly designated.
