Phu Soi Dao National Park temporarily closed to visitors

Phu Soi Dao National Park in Uttaradit province has been temporarily closed, effective today (Monday), for the safety of visitors due to the risks of possible flash flood and mud slides.

The order to close the park was issued by the park’s chief, Pharuit Jaitaskul, citing continuing heavy rain, strong winds and mud slides along the nature study trails in the park, as a result of the moderate south-westerly monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand in conjunction with a low pressure cell over northern Vietnam and southern China.

The temporary closure of the park will last until the situation returns to normal.
