Thailand’s Ko Kradan voted best beach on World Beach Guide site

Ko (island) Kradan in the Andaman Sea, off Thailand’s southern province of Trang, has been voted the best of the Top 100 beaches on Earth 2023 by the World Beach Guide website of the United Kingdom, according to Anucha Burapachaisri, spokesperson for Government House.

He said that there are four other Thai beaches that listed in the Top 100 for 2023, namely Railay in Krabi province (9th), Freedom Beach in Phuket (18th), Laem Beach on Yao Yai Island in Phang-nga province (21st) and Tanot Bay Beach on Ko Tao of Surat Thani (44th).

Anucha thanked the private and government sectors involved in the tourism business and the Thai people in general for their efforts in protecting the environments of these natural resources.

Ko Kradan is one of the islands off the southern province of Trang, which forms a major part of the Hat Chao Mai National Park. Of all these islands and islets, Ko Kradan is perhaps the most beautiful and remains largely unspoiled. Its stunning stretches of powdery white sand beaches remain a relative haven, despite being only a few kilometres from the mainland. The main beach on Ko Kradan is Paradise Beach.
