Thailand wins gold, three silver and bronze medals at Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championship

Thailand’s Chawisa Inthakul won the gold medal in the dance event at the 7th Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championship held yesterday (Tuesday) in Pattaya.

She scored 19,250 points, beating the first runner up from Vietnam, who received the silver medal with 18,950 points. The bronze medal went to a South Korean gymnast who scored 18,750 points.

Thai male aerobic gymnast, Chanokphol Yiamsukjai, won bronze medal in the dance event, scoring 19,400 points, prevailing over his competitors from South Kore and Vietnam.

In the junior category (aged 12-14), Chanatthida Jairakpreedamit won a silver medal, scoring 17,250 points after the South Korean rival 18,750 points.

In the group event, the Thai team came third, scoring 17,613 points, after Vietnam and South Korea respectively.

President of the Gymnastics Association of Thailand, Srayuth Pattanasak, said that he is proud of the performance of the Thai gymnasts in the 7th Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championship in Pattaya.

With one gold, three silvers and three bronzes, he said that the performance was beyond expectations, because most of the competitors are world class. He expects the Thai team to perform much better at the next Sea Games in Cambodia in the next eight months.
