Thailand records 48 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

Thailand reported 48 new COVID-19 cases and 66 recoveries today (Tuesday), according to the CCSA.

Of the new infections, 27 are locally-acquired, which include 17 in Bangkok, 8 in Samut Sakhon and 2 cases in Nakhon Pathom. 21 cases are among arrivals from abroad in state quarantine, including 9 from Madagascar, 2 from Qatar and 1 case each from France, Bahrain, the Philippines, Malaysia, South Africa, Nepal, Belgium, UK, India and Ethiopia.

Cumulative infections, since early last year, are 28,821, with 27,379 recoveries and 94 deaths.  1,328 are still being treated in hospitals.

Cumulative infections, since the start of the second outbreak on December 15th, are 24,584, with 34 deaths.
