The ministry went on to say that all 2,897 refugees want to return to their hometowns and most of them went back yesterday. There are, however, another 545 still on the Thai side of the border, including the injured, children, and the elderly.

The ministry says that the refugees are all scared of the air raids, being carried out by Myanmar’s military. The Thai government,  however, says that Thailand will take care of people at risk until they are ready to return.
