Seven souvenirs have been prepared by the Thai government for presentation to leaders and their spouses during the APEC Summit, taking place on November 18th and 19th at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok.

The souvenirs showcase Thai uniqueness, the concept of environmental conservation and new opportunities under the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) economic model. They include:

-An engraved image of the Grand Palace made from recycled metal. It has a Royal Barge in the foreground and the APEC 2022 logo in the background. It was produced by the Wat Sri Suphan community in Chiang Mai Province.

-A box containing a necktie, shawl, handkerchief and face mask, made with handwoven, naturally dyed silk from Pak Thong Chai district of Nakhon Ratchasima.

-A jewellery box, engraved with a traditional Thai pattern and the APEC logo. The lid of the box is recycled metal and it was made by the Wat Sri Suphan community in Chiang Mai province.

-A silver Niello photo frame with a photograph of the respective APEC leader taken during their audience with His Majesty the King. A vanity box, made from Ya Lipao grass and edged with silver. Both souvenirs are from the SUPPORT Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit.

-Two directories of Thailand’s silk manufacturers and silk retailers and wholesalers, printed specially for the event by the National Identity Office, and commemorative coins for the event produced by the Treasury Department.
