A Royal Air Force (RTAF) Airbus 340-500 has left Bangkok today for Tel Aviv in Israel, to evacuate 145 Thai nationals. They are due back at Don Mueang airport tomorrow (Thursday) at about 1.40pm.

This is the second evacuation flight by the Thai Air Force, after 130 Thais were brought back from Israel on Monday.

Meanwhile, another group of 266 Thais arrived at Suvarnabhumi international airport early this morning, on a Thai Airways International flight.

Thai nationals are expected to arrive from Israel on daily basis this month, as more flights become available. More than 7,000 Thais have applied to be repatriated for their safety.

Twenty-nine Thai nationals were killed in the Hamas attacks on Israel, 17 more are being held hostage and 16 were injured, according to the Thai Foreign Ministry.
