Supreme Patriarch urges Buddhists to live life with “Piyawaja”

“May all the Buddhists take this holy opportunity to review their conscience and make a resolution to live life with “Piyawaja” (endearing speech), when we refrain from harsh and abusive words and speak only useful things with endearment, kindness, sincerity and appropriateness for the happiness of ourselves, our families, our communities, our society and our country.”

– His Holiness Somdet Phra Ariyavongsagatanana IX, The Supreme Patriarch of the Thai Sangha, on Asalha Puja Day
