Student stabbed in front of a Bangkok college Friday night
A student at the Pathumwan Institute of Technology was seriously injured in a knife attack in front of the college on Friday night.
According to eyewitness accounts given to the police, the victim, identified as 25-year-old “Varawut”, and a friend were walking in front of their college as a group of about 10 youths were approaching from the opposite direction.
Both sides then engaged in a fierce argument, the trigger for which is unknown. A fight broke out, during which one of the youths stabbed Varawut with a folding knife before fleeing the scene.
EMTs provided first aid treatment to the victim before rushing him to Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital.
Police found a folding knife at the scene and have examined CCTV in the area in their search for the perpetrators.
