Violence continued today in Thailand’s southernmost province of Yala, leaving two border patrol police officers dead and another injured.
The officers were driving back from a health check-up when an improvised explosive device, planted under the road, detonated in Than Tho district at around 9.30am.
The two victims have been identified as Pol Senior Sergeant Major Issares Intarapetch and Pol Sergeant Monpitak Petchnui.
On April 23, in Songkhla province, a deadly ambush claimed the life of a 16-year-old Buddhist novice and injured several others as they were about to leave a temple to collect alms.
