A video clip featuring a brief encounter between a controversial socialite, Leena Jungjunja, aka “Leena Jung”, and a well-known LGBTQ celebrity, Prairie Praiwan, has gone viral on social media.

During the encounter, during a livestreaming of the “Mod Dam” YouTube program, Leena was seen hugging Prairie and suddenly pulling the wig from Prairie’s head, in what appeared to be a prank.

Prairie, however, did not appreciate the joke and later posted a clip of the incident on social media, with a comment describing Leena’s conduct as unacceptable and shameful.

Prairie had been invited onto Mod Dam’s program for an interview, not knowing that Leena was also invited. After finishing the interview, Prairie said the producer wanted to do a live segment with Leena.

Prairie has had some previous conflicts with Leena, but claimed to have let them go. This incident was too much, however, because pulling the wig off someone is not a joke, but an insult. For the LGBTQ community, Prairie claimed that pulling the wig off a member of the community is an insult, similar to opening the blouse of a woman.

Many Thai netizens took to Twitter to condemn Leena’s actions against Prairie, while also re-sharing the controversial video clip, which subsequently pushed the hashtag #Prairie to the top-trending hashtag on Twitter today, with over 58,000 tweets so far.
