Six new COVID-19 cases recorded in quarantine in Thailand
Thailand recorded six new COVID-19 infections today, all among Thais who have returned from abroad and are in state quarantine.
According to the CCSA, two new cases are an 8-year old student and a 35-year old housemaid, returning from Saudi Arabia on September 5th and in quarantine in Bangkok. Both tested positive for coronavirus on the 17th.
Three others are students returning from Morocco on September 18th. They passed the screening on arrival, but tested positive in swab tests later on the same day.
The sixth case is a 38-year old man, who arrived from Kuwait on September 13th and entered state quarantine in Chon Buri. He tested positive five days later.
Cumulative infections in Thailand, to date, are 3,506, with 3,340 recoveries and 59 deaths.
