Second group of Thai hostages in Gaza released

The Thai Foreign Ministry has released the names of the second group of Thai nationals freed from captivity by Hamas.

They are all male, namely Nattaporn Onkaew, Komkrit Chombua, Anucha Angkaew, and Manee Jirachart. They have already arrived at a hospital in Israel for medical check-ups and will stay in the same area as the Thais released earlier.

Diplomats from the Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv and Israeli authorities are providing them with assistance.

The Thai Foreign Ministry also revealed that there are 18 Thai nationals remaining being held hostage by Hamas.

In a statement, the Thai Foreign Ministry has asked the media to be cautious when they may have interviewed the relatives of the hostages, not to publish it at this time.

This is due to the sensitivity of information regarding their detention, which may affect the welfare of hostages who have not yet been released.

The ministry is in the process of coordinating with the Israeli side regarding related procedures to bring all of our recently released 14 Thai nationals to Thailand and their families as soon as possible.
