Saturday Chao Phraya River express boat services to resume this weekend
Chao Phraya Express Boat Company will resume its Saturday service this weekend, after suspension of weekend services since May 8th.
The company’s managing director, Lt-Cmdr Charoenporn Charoentham, said today (Wednesday) that the suspension during the weekend has affected many regular commuters, who have to work at the weekend.
To ease the inconvenience, of having to switch to other means of transportation, he said that the company decided to resume the service, initially only on Saturdays, starting this weekend, adding that Sunday services and on other public holidays will remain suspended until the COVID-19 situation improves.
The service timetables are:
- From Nonthaburi to Wat Ratcha Singkorn: 9am and 10am.
- From Wat Ratcha Singkorn to Prannok: 11am, noon, 1pm and 2 pm.
- From Prannok to Wat Ratcha Singkorn: 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
- From Wat Ratcha Singkorn to Nonthaburi: 3.30pm and 4.30pm.
Due to the opening of a new pier, the company is offering a special promotion for commuters travelling between Phra Nangklao Bridge and Sathorn piers, charging 20 baht per trip instead of 30 baht, until August 31st, while the fare from Phra Nangklao Bridge pier to Nonthaburi pier remains unchanged at 10 baht.
