Quarantined woman in death plunge from hotel in Bangkok’s Rama 9 area

Police have launched an investigation into the death of a 50-year old Thai woman, who fell from the 8th floor of the hotel in which she was quarantined, following her return from South Korea.

Police said that the victim arrived on the night of December 24th and went into alternative state quarantine at a hotel on Rama 9 Road. Initial tests showed a negative result for COVID-19.

The woman fell from the 8th floor to her death on the balcony of the second floor. Officials in PPE suits were sent to the scene to seal off the area and to examine the body.

Police have questioned several witnesse, to try to determine whether the death was accidental or a suicide.
