Anti-government protesters have begun converging at the Pathumwan intersection in the heart of Bangkok for their second day of rally in the city to pressure Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha to resign.

Braving a steady drizzle, more protesters continued to arrive at press time at one of the city’s busiest commercial areas.

The protest organizers decided to shift their rally to Pathumwan intersection from  Rajprasong intersection which is only about a kilometer away after the latter had been blocked by a huge security force.

Thousands of protests joined the rally at Rajprasong intersection yesterday before dispersing late at night.
