Prayut says he will just be an ordinary citizen with his family after retirement

After chairing his last cabinet meeting today (Tuesday), outgoing Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha told the media that he will spend the rest of his life in retirement with his family and taking rest as an ordinary citizen who has no privileges.

In his brief farewell speech, he thanked all the ministers, his staff, officials and maids working at Government House, expressing hope that they will continue to do so.

During the lunch break, after the cabinet meeting, the prime minister, his ministers and staff took a group photo and were seen engaged in joyful chit-chat.

He had lunch with some of his ministers, among them Interior Minister Anupong Paojinda, Culture Minister Itthiphol Kunplome, Energy Minister Supattanapong Punmeechaow, PM’s Office Minister Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, Natural Resources and Environment Minister Varawut Silpa-archa, Social Development and Human Security Minister Chuti Krairiksh.

A lei was presented to him by Education Minister Trinuch Thienthong and her deputy, Khunying Kalaya Sophonpanich.
