Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra hosted a dinner for leaders of coalition parties at a hotel in Bangkok last night, to enhance unity ahead of the opposition’s no-confidence debate on Monday and Tuesday.
Attending the working dinner were Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, leader of the United Thai Nation Party, Bhumjaithai Party Leader Anutin Charnvirakul, Chart Thai Pattana Party Leader Sarawut Silpa-archa, Prachachart Party Leader Tawee Sodsong, Kla Dham Party Leader Narumon Pinyosinwat, Democrat Party Leader Chalermchai Srion, Suwat Liptapallop, advisory chairman of the Chart Pattana Party and Dr. Prommin Lertsuridej, secretary-general of the prime minister.
Sarawut told the media that the coalition leaders were invited to the dinner to discuss their preparations and the sharing of information in preparation for the censure debate, which will mainly target the prime minister.
He insisted that the event was not an effort to ensure that coalition MPs do not abstain or vote against the prime minister after the censure debate.
