A key opposition MP claimed today that he has valid evidence and information to present during the upcoming censure debate, which is sure to rock the boat of the Paetongtarn Shinawatra administration.
Rangsiman Rome, deputy leader of the People’s party, said his censure speech against the prime minister will not focus on one specific issue, because there will be multiple issues raised which will all demonstrate that Paetongtarn lacks the leadership skills needed to govern the country.
The no-confidence debate will take place on Monday and Tuesday next week, with the vote tentatively scheduled for Wednesday.
“I’m not just boasting to attract attention or generate excitement for the debate. The information I have makes me confident that it will put Paetongtarn in real trouble,” Rome told reporters.
He said he cannot imagine how she will be able to counter the allegations to be presented.
The debate’s intention is not necessarily to topple the government, but will be based on evidence and information which highlights problems that have continued since her predecessor, Srettha Thavisin, also of the Pheu Thai Party, he said.
Rangsiman declined to reveal whether the information to be used in the debate comes from coalition parties, saying only that he had obtained it from various sources.
