Bhumjaithai party leader Anutin Charnvirakul confirmed this afternoon that he proposed the name of Sabeeda to the secretariat of the Cabinet this morning, after the secretariat had informed him of a problem with Chada’s qualifications on Monday evening.
He said that all parties in the coalition have placed importance to the issue of the ethical standards of potential ministers and, to avoid any unease within the coalition, Chada had agreed to withdraw his name from the Bhumjaithai party’s list of prospective ministers.
He said he would like to thank Chada for his decision, adding that he has briefly interviewed Sabeeda, who has a Master’s degree from a British university and has been working in the family business.
He stated again that the Bhumjaithai party’ list of prospective ministers has already been finalised “with no more changes".
