The acceptance of applications for the position of Governor of the Bank of Thailand (BOT), who will replace incumbent Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput, will begin next Tuesday.
Sethaput’s five-year term will end in September.
Pornchai Thiraveja, spokesperson for the Finance Ministry and secretary to the selection panel, said that candidates have until June 4 to submit their applications.
At least two candidates will be shortlisted for the finance minister's consideration no later than 90 days before the end of Sethaput’s term.
The Cabinet will then submit the name of the chosen candidate to the King for royal appointment.
