Accompanied by his wife and a few ministers, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin toured the Hua Hin market this morning, greeting vendors and morning shoppers.

The prime minister and his group, including Transport Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit, also presented alms to nine monks on Thailand’s Family Day, which falls on April 14th annually.

Greeting a grilled pork skewer vendor and asking him about his business, the prime minister was told that business is good this year because there are more tourists.

Srettha promised the vendors that their businesses would be even better next year, as his government will introduce more activities to the resort town to attract more tourists.

During the tour on foot, he was approached by a woman who asked him when she will get the 10,000 baht from the “digital wallet” scheme. He quickly responded “in the fourth quarter madam”.
