Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin posted on his X account that he will be visiting France and Italy, from May 15 to 21, and Japan, from May 22 to 24.

The primary objectives are to attract investment to Thailand, leveraging the country’s soft power, and the promotion of collaboration in various sectors, such as trade, industry, and energy.

French President Emmanuel Macron wants the Thailand-France Business Forum to convene, to facilitate collaboration between the private sectors of both countries.

In Italy, Srettha intends to enhance relations in areas of strength and in alignment with the vision outlined in the “Ignite Thailand 2025” policy.

In Japan, the Thai PM will be participating in the Nikkei Forum and holding discussions with members of Japan’s private sector, especially those in the food, logistics, and finance industries.

“It is a good opportunity to encourage further investment in Thailand,” the prime minister concluded.
