Move Forward’s victory parade

Pita Limjaroenrat, leader of Move Forward Party and tipped to be the next premier, took part in a convoy around Bangkok on Monday to thank the public for their overwhelming vote for his party in yesterday’s (Sunday) general election.

His party has won the most parliamentary seats, with 112 constituency and party 39 list seats, enabling him to form a coalition government and to be the most likely next prime minister.

One day after the election, he has begun the process of forming a coalition government with Pheu Thai and four other smaller political parties.

The motorcade started at Chao Doi Café at the Democracy Monument at 5.30pm, and proceeded to Ratchadamnoen Road, circle the Democracy Monument twice, then to Sanam Luang, on to the Ban Mor area, the Old Siam Shopping Centre and ended at Larn Kon Muang Square in front of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
