A group of activists, who call themselves “Bad Students”, are asking students, via Twitter, to join anti-government activities after school hours, in front of the Ministry of Education, on August 19th, 2020.

Students are asked to do four things, namely:

  • Raise three fingers, which is an anti-dictatorship symbol.
  • Tie white ribbons on the perimeter of the Ministry of Education.
  • Write their demands on paper and post them on the walls of the Ministry of Education.
  • Blow whistles at the Minister of Education, Nataphol Teepsuwan, to demand his resignation.

They claim the reason why the students are protesting is to protect the future of the country and to state their ideology.

There has, however, been push-back by many teachers, who claim these students are being used by politicians and are not acting independently.
