Pheu Thai forecast to win 133 House seats – Super Poll

Super Poll has predicted that the Pheu Thai party will emerge the winner of Sunday’s general election, taking a combined total of 133 constituency and party-list seats in the House, but still short of the landslide victory it was seeking.

Super Poll says that about 39 million of the 52 million voters in Thailand are expected to have exercised their voting rights, representing a turnout of 76.3%. 1.9 million ballots are expected to be declared invalid.

Election results, in terms of votes received, according to Super Poll:

  • Move Forward party, 10,649,974 votes, 28.1%
  • Pheu Thai party, 8,517,560 votes, 22.5%
  • United Thai Nation, 4,775,433 votes, 12.6%
  • Bhumjaithai party, 4,472,231 votes, 11.8%
  • Democrat party, 3,524,725 votes, 6.8%
  • Palang Pracharath party, 1,781,312 votes, 4.7%

The number of constituency and party-list seats forecast by party:

  • Pheu Thai, 133 seats (111 constituency seats and 22 party-list seats).
  • Bhumjaithai, 107 seats (95 constituency seats and 12 party-list seats)
  • Move Forward, 70 seats (42 constituency seats and 28 party-list seats)
  • Palang Pracharath, 58 seats (53 constituency seats and 5 party-list seats)
  • Democrat, 53 seats (44 constituency seats and 9 party-list seats)
  • United Thai Nation, 32 seats (21 constituency seats and 11 party-list seats)
