Core members of the Pheu Thai and Bhumjaithai parties held an informal meeting this afternoon (Saturday) at the Pheu Thai party head office, at the invitation of Pheu Thai, to discuss solutions to the current political stalemate.

The Bhumjaithai party was represented by its leader, Anutin Charnvirakul, secretary-general Saksayam Chidchob and deputy leader Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, while the Pheu Thai party was represented by deputy leader Phumtham Wechayachai and secretary-general Prasert Chanthararuangthong.

Asked by a reporter what would happen if the Move Forward party backtracked on amending the lèse majesté law,  Anutin responded “there is no if”, as he reiterated the party’s stance on the issue and its rejection of a minority government.
