Paetongtarn visits Phnom Penh at the invitation of Hun Sen

Pheu Thai party leader Paetongtarn Shinawatra led her executive board members on a visit to Cambodia today, at the invitation of Hun Sen, the former Cambodian prime minister.

The team boarded a private jet to Phnom Penh and were received at the airport by Cambodia’s deputy premier Hun Many, Hun Sen’s youngest son. She paid a courtesy call on the acting President of the Cambodian National Assembly, Cheam Yeap and later on Cambodia’s Prime Minister Hun Manet, Hun Sen’s eldest son.

According to Paetongtarn, the two-day visit will focus on cooperation between Pheu Thai and the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP).

Hun Sen, president of the CPP, extended the invitation to Paetongtarn to visit Cambodia during his recent home visit to her father, Thaksin Shinawatra, who was recently released on parole.
