November 4th & 5th declared special public holidays for Bangkok and Nonthaburi

The cabinet has designated November 4th and 5th as special public holidays for Bangkok and its neighbouring province of Nonthaburi to ease traffic and facilitate the travel and security arrangements for ASEAN leaders and officials attending the 35th ASEAN Summit.

The summit is to be held at Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok, from October 30th to November 4th.

Deputy government spokesperson Ms. Traisulee Traisoranakul said today (Tuesday) that state enterprises, commercial banks and private companies can make their own decisions whether they will close or postpone the holidays in a way which will not affect their services to the public.
