Nine high-risk provinces to receive the first lot of 200,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine

Bangkok and eight other provinces with high incidence of COVID-19 infections will be the first to get inoculated with the first shipment of 200,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine from China, in an arrangement planned by the Ministry of Public Health Ministry.

The distribution arrangement is as follows:

  • Samut Sakhon, 70,000 doses. 8,000 doses for frontline medical personnel; 6,000 doses for officials in close contact with infected patients; 46,000 doses for those with congenital diseases and 10,000 doses for the general public.
  • Bangkok, 66,000 doses. 12,400 doses for medical personnel; 1,600 doses for officials in close contact with patients; 47,000 doses for those with congenital diseases and 5,000 doses for the general public.
  • Pathum Thani, 8,000 doses. 3,000 doses for frontline medical personnel; 2,000 doses for those working in close contact with the infected; 2,000 doses for those with congenital diseases and 1,000 doses for the general public.
  • Nonthaburi, 6,000 doses. 2,000 for frontline medical personnel; 1,000 doses for officials in close contact with the infected patients; 2,000 doses for those with congenital diseases and 1,000 doses for the general public.
  • Samut Prakan, 6,000 doses. 2,000 doses for frontline health officials; 1,000 does for officials in close contact with patients; 2,000 doses for those with congenital diseases and 1,000 doses for the general public.
  • Mae Sot district in Tak, 5,000 doses. 3,000 doses for frontline health officials and 2,000 for officials in close contact with the patients.
  • Nakhon Pathom, 3,500 doses. 2,500 doses for frontline health officials and 1,000 doses for officials in close contact with the patients.
  • Samut Songkhram, 2,000 doses. 1,500 doses for frontline health officials and 500 doses for those in close contact with patients.
  • Ratchaburi, 2,500 doses. 2,000 doses for frontline health officials and 500 doses for officials in close contact with patients.

There are eight stages for vaccination, which include registration, weighing and blood pressure measurement, screening, background checks and risk assessment and signing up to receive vaccine, waiting to be vaccinated, vaccination, 30 minutes rest for observation after vaccination and scanning of Mor Prom official Line account, receiving a post-vaccination advisory, final assessment of side effects and appointment for the second injection.

The entire process takes about 37 minutes.
