NIDA Poll predicts big win for Move Forward in Bangkok

Move Forward Party’s candidates are projected to win in almost all of Bangkok’s 33 constituencies, according to an opinion survey by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA).

NIDA released the survey after the polls closed at 5pm. Thai people flocked to vote, even before the polling stations opened at 8am.

The poll projects victories for Move Forward in 32 constituencies in the capital, except in the Lat Krabang constituency, where Theerarat Samrejvanich is expected to hold the seat.

Officials have begun counting ballots, with the first results expected within the next few hours.

Nationally, the survey also reported that Pheu Thai party will win 164-172 parliamentary seats, followed by Move Forward with 80-88 seats, Bhumjaithai Party 72-80 seats, Palang Pracharath 53-61, the United Thai Nation 45-53 seats and Democrat 33-41 seats.
