HRH Princess Chulabhorn has launched a fund, under the Chulabhorn Foundation, to support Thai Army border activities that safeguard the nation.
She personally donated one million baht as seed funding. The princess presided over the inauguration of the ‘Hathai Thip Fund’ yesterday, saying that it is also aimed at enhancing public safety and security, providing assistance during crises and improving people’s quality of life.
Amid current concerns over the safety of front-line personnel and residents along the Thai-Cambodian border, the fund’s initial priority will be to support the construction of fences and bunkers for Thai soldiers.
The Supreme Patriarch has also contributed 100,000 baht to the fund.
