Only those with online registrations are being accepted at the COVID-19 test site at the Government Complex, as the site is among a few offering free Rapid Antigen tests, with results available within 30 minutes, according to the National Health Security Office (NHSO) today (Tuesday).
The screening site, on Chaeng Wattana Road, is open until July 30th from 8am-4pm, except for weekends. Those who want to get tested must fully complete an online form.
After users complete their application for registration, they will receive a text message within 1-2 days, confirming their screening date. This is to reduce congestion at the screening site, especially after long queues have been seen at other such locations.
It is also advised that users add the “NHSO-COVID Tests” LINE account, in case they cannot register or need to request a postponement, where officials can assist.
Yesterday, NHSO Secretary-General Dr. Jadet Thamthat-Aree said that the testing facilities implementing Antigen Test kits are at the Royal Thai Air Force’s Thupatemi Stadium, in Pathum Thani’s Lam Luk Ka district, and the Rajamangkala Stadium in Bang Kapi district, and they have set a target to test up to 3,000 people per day per site.
A very long queue was seen this morning in front of the Thupatemi Stadium, where all 1,500 slots for today’s tests were quickly booked in just a few hours. Only 500 tests, however, will be of the Rapid Antigen method.
The facility at the Government Complex will initially conduct 500 tests per day, before increasing to 3,000.
The fourth facility, to be located at the soccer field of the Anti-Aircraft Artillery Division Headquarters at Kiak Kai in Bangkok’s Dusit district, will provide a free testing service tomorrow, with a set target of 3,000 tests.
Meanwhile, the Department of Medical Services warned the public today about fake paid bookings for COVID-19 vaccinations at Bang Sue Grand Station. It explained that on-site bookings are allowed for those over 75 years old, while others, especially those aged 60-74 can book their vaccinations via mobile operators AIS, True, DTAC and National Telecom.
