The Thai Foreign Ministry has not received any reports of Thai nationals being injured or killed in flash floods and landslides in Nepal, where at least 165 people have died and hundreds remain missing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jaithai Upakarnitikaset said today.
The disaster struck on Wednesday along the Bhote Koshi River, affecting the districts of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan.
Jaithai said the ministry is coordinating with the Royal Thai Embassy in Kathmandu to verify the situation.
The affected areas have suffered extensive damage, with infrastructure along the Bhote Koshi River being badly damaged. More than 600 Nepali nationals and foreigners are reportedly missing, she said.
The Foreign Ministry and the Royal Thai Embassy in Kathmandu are closely monitoring the situation and are ready to provide assistance to Thai nationals affected by the disaster.

The Associated Press reported many of those missing were foreigners in the area for trekking or pilgrimage to a sacred Hindu site.
Nepal
Police reported at least 165 deaths and 826 people missing. Local reports, citing the National Emergency Operation Centre, said the missing included 113 Nepali tourists, 85 army and police personnel, 161 residents of Rasuwa district and one person from Nuwakot district.
The Nepal Tourism Board later said 517 foreigners were missing.
China
Chinese state media reported at least three deaths and 558 people missing in Gyirong County, Tibet.
CCTV reported that 260 of the 558 missing people were foreigners. China’s Foreign Ministry also said nearly 100 Chinese citizens were missing on the Nepal side of the border.
India
The Nepal Tourism Board said 179 of those missing were from India. Officials said most were on pilgrimage to Mount Kailash in Tibet, a sacred site for Hindus.
United States
The board said 65 of the missing were from the United States.
Malaysia
The board said 51 Malaysians were missing.
Ukraine
Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry said 53 Ukrainians were considered missing, including 46 tourists with whom Nepalese authorities had lost contact.
Australia
The board said 35 Australians were missing.
Britain
The board said 33 of the missing were from Britain.
Canada
The Nepal Tourism Board said 25 Canadians were missing.
South Korea
South Korean government officials said nine citizens working on a hydropower project in Nepal were missing.
Singapore
Eight Singaporeans were missing, according to the Nepal Tourism Board.
Germany
The Nepal Tourism Board said eight German tourists were missing.
Russia
The board said eight Russians were missing.
South Africa
The board said six South Africans were missing.
Latvia
The board said six Latvian tourists were missing.
Japan
Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi expressed concern about five Japanese nationals whom local media reported were missing.
New Zealand
Five New Zealanders were missing, according to the Nepal Tourism Board.
France
The board said four French citizens were missing.
Belgium
The board said three Belgians were missing.
Spain
The board said three Spanish visitors were missing.
Others
The board said two people each from Italy, Kazakhstan, Portugal, Ireland and the Netherlands were missing.
It said 10 others — one each from Belarus, Finland, Hungary, Israel, Lithuania, the Philippines, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Serbia and Sweden — were also missing.
