Two Myanmar nationals died at around midnight last night, after being electrocuted while climbing into an electrical conduit on Prachachuen Road in Nonthaburi.
Their bodies were found at the bottom of the shaft, which is about 15 meters deep. They were identified as Min L Win and Lin Naing and their bodies have been sent for autopsy.
A Thai worker, Asamaporn Chaichana, who witnessed the incident told police that she was working at a nearby location at about 11.45pm when the two victims entered the conduit to clean it.
She then heard one of them say that they had received an electric shock. When she rushed to the mouth of the conduit, she saw both of them lying at the bottom.
Rescue workers had to use ropes to recover the bodies.
