Their Majesties the King and the Queen presided over a spectacular international air show at Don Muang Air Base today, marking the Royal Thai Air Force’s (RTAF) 88th anniversary.
The event was also held to honour Thailand’s "Pilot King".
The aerial displays featured teams from around the world, including the August 1st Aerobatic Team of China’s People’s Liberation Army Air Force, the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team from the Indian Air Force and the US Air Force’s cutting-edge F-35A demonstration team.
The RTAF showcased its own aerial prowess with the Saab JAS 39 fighter, of the Shark Gripen Demonstration Team from Wing 7 in Surat Thani, performing flying demonstrations that highlight the capabilities of this advanced Swedish-made combat aircraft.
