Local Loy Krathong festivities in pictures

People gather along the waterways of Bangkok to celebrate the Loy Krathong Festival under the full moon. At Wat Lat Pla Khao Temple, festivities include a carnival fair with street food, lucky draws and traditional Thai game stalls. In Thai tradition, one of the highlights is floating a ‘krathong’, a small decorative flower float offering on the water. This act symbolizes letting go of negativity and welcoming renewal and hope.
