A misunderstanding led to the evacuation of officials from Building A of the Government Complex on Chaeng Watthana Road this morning.
An official noticed cracks caused by tremors from a strong earthquake in Myanmar on March 28 and alerted the relevant authorities.
The official also reported hearing noises that may have been caused by the quake, possibly from the floor where the Central Bankruptcy Court is located.
Officials then issued an alert and ordered an evacuation. Building A was closed, pending inspection.
The court’s website stated that following the strong earthquake in Myanmar that was felt in Bangkok on March 28, cracks were found in its office.
Therefore, for safety reasons, the court has ordered the postponement of all trials until further notice.
