Chartered Group has issued an official statement denying allegations linking the company to politicians and political groups through investments in Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited (BCP), MFC Asset Management Public Company Limited (MFC) and VGI Public Company Limited (VGI).
The group claimed that it has no connections to any political figures or parties and conducts its business strictly in accordance with regulatory standards.
The statement comes in response to recent reports, which suggest the group's involvement with Thai politicians.
Highlighting its confidence in the Thai economy and business potential, Chartered Group stated that it remains committed to expanding its investments and partnerships within the country, under a framework of full legal and regulatory compliance.
The company further warned that any attempt to damage its reputation, by associating it with political figures or groups, as suggested in mainstream and social media narratives, will be met with decisive legal action.
This includes pursuing lawsuits against those responsible for spreading false or misleading information, despite the fact that the allegations have, to date, not had any impact on the company's operations in Thailand.
