Move Forward Party leader first choice in Bangkok for next PM – NIDA Poll

Most voters in Bangkok would prefer Move Forward Party Leader Pita Limjaroenrat as Thailand’s next prime minister, followed by Pheu Thai Party’s advisory chief Paetongtarn Shinawatra and Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha of the United Thai Nation Party.

Most say, however, that they will vote for the Pheu Thai Party, followed by the Move Forward Party, the United Thai Nation and other parties.

These are the findings from an opinion poll conducted by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) between March 15th and 21st. NIDA sampled the opinions of 2,500 eligible voters of different occupations and educational backgrounds in Bangkok’s 50 districts.

Regarding the question of who they prefer for their next prime minister, the poll shows 25.08% prefer Pita, followed by:

-Paetongtarn, 24.20%

-General Prayut, 18.24%

-Thai Sang Thai Party leader Sudarat Keyuraphan, 5.96%

-Thai Liberal Party Leader Sereepisuth Temeeyaves, 5.68%

-Chart Pattana Kla Party Leader Korn Chatikavanij, 4.84%

-Srettha Thavisin of Pheu Thai Party, 2.40%

-Pheu Thai Party Leader Cholnan Srikaew, 2.00%

-Bhumjaithai Party Leader Anutin Charnvirakul, 1.64%

-Democrat Party Leader Jurin Laksanawisit, 1.56%

Regarding their favourite parties, the findings are as follows:

-Pheu Thai Party, 34.92%

-Move Forward Party, 27.72%

-United Thai Nation Party, 14.32%

-Democrat Party, 6.76%

-Chart Pattana Kla Party, 3.32%

-Thai Sang Thai Party, 2.96%

-Thai Liberal Party, 2.48%

-Palang Pracharath Party, 2.16%

-Bhumjaithai Party, 1.48%

-2.20 % for other parties
