Masks a must for all train passengers
Starting today commuters using all rail systems, including BTS and underground trains, are required to wear masks.
Face masks will be available for sale at entrances to train stations for those who need them.
The director general of the Department of Rail Transport, Sorapong Paitoonphon, announced the measure yesterday which he said is in compliance with the Public Health Ministry’s guideline on prevention of transmission of the coronavirus.
Train passengers are also required to maintain space them while on the trains or while waiting at stations. Passengers will also have their temperature taken at station entrances.
The measure applies to all rail services.
