King thanks all involved in Tham Luang rescue operation

His Majesty the King has expressed his appreciation and thanks to all the people – both Thais and foreigners from the government, private and public sectors – who were involved in the search and rescue operations and for their success in bringing the 12 Wild Boar footballers and their coach out of the flooded Tham Luang cave.

In his message to the Thai people, the King said that the event in which the boys and their coach was trapped deep inside the cave was unexpected and, hence, the search and rescue operation must be done immediately “but all parties concerned were capable of managing the situation remarkably.”

The King also praised the 12 boys and their coach for taking care of one another while they were trapped deep inside the cave.

Although the operation was difficult, the King said that something good and invaluable has emerged from this dramatic event.

“I thank everyone,” said the King as he expressed hope that this unique event would provide a reminder for everyone to learn from the experience that good management, the appropriate use of knowledge, capabilities, expertise with the situation and good cooperation from all concerned would lead to the solution of problems and obstacles.

“Mutual help with love and good wishes is a huge force that will make mankind to co-exist in happiness for good,” said the King in his message.
