The Royal command, following the death of Gen. Prem Tinsulanonda, was published in the Royal Gazette on Tuesday, May 28th.
Gen. Surayud was Thailand’s 24th prime minister, serving from October 2006 to January 2008, after which he was appointed a privy councilor.
