Parliament came as no surprise. Everything had practically been stacked in his favour – from the electoral rules to role of the Senate. Now Prayut can claim political legitimacy for his second term in office, but the question is: Will he be able to handle the challenges lying ahead now that he will be at the mercy of politicians who have brought him to power.
