Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand’s are making their first state visit to Vietnam, celebrating 50 years of diplomatic ties.
On September 15th, Their Majesties King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua and Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana of Thailand attended the official welcoming ceremony at the National Assembly Building in Hanoi, Vietnam.
During the ceremony, they were welcomed by To Lam, General Secretary and President of Vietnam, and his spouse, Ngo Phuong Ly. His Majesty the King proceeded to the saluting dais in the central hall of the National Assembly Building. The Guard of Honour presented arms, while the military band played the Royal Anthem of Thailand, followed by the national anthem of Vietnam.
Their Majesties are being accompanied by Thai and Vietnamese delegations, including Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, the ambassadors and diplomats from other ASEAN member states.
